About Me.

I'm Eman Haddad, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC freelance health writer. I have been drawn towards the mental health field for as long as I can remember, and have enjoyed writing for even longer.

I obtained my BSN in 2018 and started my nursing career by working as a RN in the psychiatric residential setting with children and adolescents with mental and behavioral disabilities. I wanted to have a a more influential impact on treatment decision making, and returned to school to obtain my DNP-PMHNP certification in 2021. Since then I have been working as a nurse practitioner  in the outpatient mental health setting for all ages. My experience includes treating depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. I feel that a holistic approach is critical in treating mental health. I always encourage one to engage in consistent psychotherapy as it is the main and most critical component of treatment. I also carry the perspective that psychotropic medications are a supplementary treatment option to assist in obtaining one's mental heath goals.

While I am constantly learning and improving as a clinician, I have begun to exercise my passion for writing again. Writing as a nurse has allowed me to share my knowledge and continue to make an impact to anyone in need.
